Gamla Uppsala is one of Scandinavia's most remarkable historical sites. As early as the 6th century, it was an important political and religious centre.
Gamla Uppsala Museum is located beside the great Royal Mounds and tells the remarkable story of this unique place. The museum features unique archaeological finds, models, multimedia presentations, audio stories, and a play area where children can learn about the Iron Age through play.
