Upplandsmuseet is the county museum of Uppland, located in the heart of Uppsala. Housed in the eighteenth-century Academy Mill (Akademikvarnen) on the banks of the River Fyris, the museum tells the story of Uppsala and the wider region of Uppland through engaging permanent and temporary exhibitions.
Discover the people, places and traditions that have shaped the region from prehistory to the present day. Children can explore the museum through Little Mill (Lilla kvarn), an interactive exhibition created especially for young visitors.

The shop offers books on local history, archaeology and culture, as well as gifts, souvenirs and locally inspired products. A small café is located on the museum's ground floor, serving light refreshments.

In Swedish, approx. 30 minutes. A journey through the history of Uppland – from the Stone Age to the present day.
2.00 pm – Family activity
Touch, try and discover! For children aged 6 and over, accompanied by an adult.
3.00 pm – City walking tour
In Swedish.
12.00–4.30 pm – Crafts & Games
Get creative, make things, play games and try out different traditional crafts – fun for all ages.
Lilla Kvarn – for children aged 0–6
A small world to play and explore, with a shop, blacksmith’s workshop, kitchen and much more. Time slot ticket required.
