Meet the people of prehistoric Uppland, from Stone Age seal hunters to Viking Age farmers. Generation after generation, they all left their mark on the region.

Three themes guide you through the exhibition. Home, where everyday life revolved around family and household. Community, where neighbours, trade and local connections shaped society. And The World, where ideas, people and events from far beyond Uppland influenced life in the region—sometimes immediately, sometimes centuries later.

The exhibition features everything from magnificent swords and silver coins brought from distant lands to the everyday tools that reveal how ordinary people lived and worked.
