Viking Age Festival
On June 12–14, the Viking Age returns to Gamla Uppsala.
Viking Age Festival 2026
The biggest festival of the year in Gamla Uppsala. Camp life, crafts, food, and a marketplace. Historical reenactors from several countries gather by the royal burial mounds and welcome visitors to their Viking camps.
Viking groups dressed in period clothing will visit Gamla Uppsala and set up camp in front of the museum. There will be a Viking market and camp life where you can watch Viking-age crafts and buy fine replicas of Viking-era objects.
There will also be fascinating lectures, guided tours, and activities for children.
