Upplandsmuseet is the county museum for Uppsala county. The museum has a new exhibition about the history of Uppsala County.Experience life in the county for the past 7,000 years!

Exhibitions and programs
The museum has permanent exhibitions which describe the history of the province of Uppland over a period of 5,000 years. There are also topical exhibitions on a range of subjects, with both an Uppland focus and a global perspective.

Join us for a guided tour and explore the fascinating history of Uppsala. Wander through the city’s central streets while hearing captivating stories about important events and the people—both famous and lesser-known—who have shaped the city.
Time & Language:
- 13.00 – City walk in English (approx. 45 min)
- 15.00 – City walk in Swedish (approx. 45 min)
Practical Information:
- Distance: approx. 850 meters, no stairs or steep inclines
- Surfaces: asphalt, cobblestones, and gravel paths
- Some street crossings and curbs
City walks are included with museum admission and do not require prior registration. Tours start from the entrance of Upplandsmuseet.

Museum shop and Café
In the entrance hall, you will find the museum shop, which stocks a wide range of Uppland speciality products. Here you will find genuine craft items and quality souvenirs inspired by objects from our collections. Feeling thirsty? Then why not visit our museum café! In summer, you can also relax in our beautiful courtyard.
Accessibility
Disabled parking is provided in the museum courtyard. We have automatic entrance doors, a lift and a isabled toilet, as well as baby changing facilities. An audio induction loop is available in the auditorium. Portable aids and wheelchairs are available for use.
Parking
There are several chargeable parking spaces quite close to the museum. There are also designated spaces for coaches at St. Eriks torg.
